Wordfence

Boring but IMPORTANT! Hackers are evil. Make sure you have a plug in for your blog to protect it from hackers!

I’ve been using Limit Login Attempts on my blog which I like because:

* It’s free
* It’s simple which means it’s not weighing down your blog
* It’s effective

BUT I am starting to have concerns because it hasn’t been updated in over 2 years. From research I’ve done, it seems that people are still happy with it and that it works, but I’m currently trying out another one on the FBC site called Wordfence which comes highly recommended.

I figure 4.8 million people can’t be wrong. :-)

    Hi Nagi! I’ve been on your site for over an hour reading up on all these amazing resources. Thank you so much for creating this invaluable resources for food bloggers everywhere!

    I do have a question about Wordfence, though.. I’ve been using it for just a couple of days, and WOW. I can’t believe how many people try to access my site every single day! I’m just finding the whole blocking-each-IP-address-manually to be a bit tedious, especially because there will always be a new IP address trying to access my site. Do you know of a quicker way to block these hackers all at once by using Wordfence?

      No worries, happy to help! Are you part of our Facebook Group? If so, drop me a message and tag me so I can upload a screenshot of the settings in WordFence. :)
