Get yourself on the Food Bloggers Map!

Click here to browse the map and add your blog

Note: Only FBC Facebook Group members have access to the map. Read below for more information to join! (PS We aren’t exclusive. But we had to implement processes to avoid SPAM!)

We created a map so you can add yourself and help you find local food blogger friends. It’s a great way to connect with like-minded people in your area! When I started blogging, it was me, my keyboard and my camera. As much as I love food and cooking, I found it quite a lonely business.

I took the initiative to find local bloggers in my city, Sydney Australia. Wow, what a difference it made to my blogging life! When you have locals who you can talk to about blogging without guilt – people who understand your woes about your latest post not being as popular as you had hoped, your social media dramas, your food photography challenges!

Whether by email, Skype, in person or by phone, making friends in your region is a great way to uplift your blogging game – or business.

Within hours of launching the map we had hundreds of food bloggers adding themselves to it!

How to add your blog

To add your blog to our map, you need to be a member of the Food Bloggers Central Facebook Group. This is purely for control reasons, to avoid spammers. The Facebook Group is open to all food bloggers, whether you’ve been blogging for 1 day or 10 years!

As at the time of writing, we have almost 1,000 members and it’s growing every day! Click here to join.

Once you had joined the Facebook group, click on the link to the map in this thread -> Food Bloggers Map

When you are in the map, type your location in the box at the top and hit Enter.

You will be zoomed into your city. Then click on the teardrop icon (Location button).

The cursor will become a cross so you can find your location (doesn’t have to be exact, just the general city is fine especially if you are concerned about PRIVACY!). Click again and this box will appear:

Then complete your information – your name and blog name and blog URL. Hit SAVE and you’re DONE! You’re on our blogging map!

Nagi, took your advice and checked the map. It seems I’m the only food blogger from srilanka.
I’m choosing to look at this as an opportunity to own a niche within the island.
What do you think? Any advice please.

I think that’s AWESOME if you are the only food blogger in Sri Lanka, you’ll totally rule that niche! 🙂 Have you reached out to The Running Sri Lankan? Tell her I sent you 🙂 She’s so lovely. She lives in the US but she’s from Sri Lanka!
